The Councilor for Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesús Pacheco, together with the Councilor for Youth and Cooperation, Rebeca Pérez, presented this morning the new edition of the Big Up to be held on 5, 6 and 7 October.
This fifth edition is organized by the City of Murcia, with the coordination of the Institute of Artistic Expression of the Southeast, IEAS, and aims to be a musical showcase for the national industry and specialized media.
Therefore, there will be a selection of emerging musical projects of the Region or those that intend to be part of the national panorama with styles as diverse as the rock or indie.

The bands that have been selected for having more score, and that will go out on October 7 to present their special showcases with sound limited to ambient sound and with their own production and scenery are:

Pacheco has stated that "Big Up is an opportunity to make our city known to national promoters, record labels and national music press that will visit us these days, with a major novelty: this year will be a national meeting of webs, blogs and influencers of national music that will know firsthand this important event. "
The Big Up Murcia has the commitment to provide tools and training to the young musicians of the Region, with formative talks to learn how they can protect their rights as authors, or with gatherings with musicians of Artists on the Road (AIE) and the Society General of Authors (SGAE).
This year Big Up Murcia has a live program in different rooms REM, Musik and Garage Beat Club, thanks to the recent Association of Rooms Murcia Live!
who was born in the Big Up two years ago, in which some Big Up groups of other years such as Crudo Pimento, Claim, Poolshake, Florida Garage and Stupid Flanders, will share the stage with national groups like Cala Vento, Shinova and Pablo Und Destruktion, generating as well as possible relationships, completes the Poster with El Niño de la Mortgage and the special and intimate concert of Rulo and Contrabanda in acoustic format.
In addition, this year will expand the usual inspirational talks to three great professional musicians who will transfer their experience as musicians providing professional development guidelines.
So this year will be present such important figures as Raúl Gutiérrez (Rulo and Contrabanda), Guille Galván (Vetusta Morla) and Jorge Ilegal.
All talks will be held at Los Molinos del Río.
Also, Jorge Ilegal, will also present his documentary film in Murcia 'Mi vida entre las ants' which can be seen in the Regional Film Library.
