The neighborhood of Santa María de Gracia has commemorated the 311 anniversary of the Battle of the Huerto de las Bombas that took place on September 4, 1706, during the War of Succession, when these lands were a sea of ​​orchards and ditches.
The victory of the side of the supporters of Felipe de Anjou supposed that the French pretender to the crown of Spain, who was proclaimed king under the name of Felipe V, granted the city of Murcia the seventh crown of its shield.
