Twelve peñas huertanas will participate next Monday in the Farewell Round of the Virgen de la Fuensanta (09/09/2017)

Next Monday, September 11, the Altar of the Cathedral will host the Round of Farewell to the Virgin of Fuensanta, thus fulfilling a tradition with more than 100 years of history and that has been maintained in time thanks to the work of the Brotherhood of the Blessed Animas of Patiño.

Last year, the Federation of Peñas Huertanas, together with the Cabildo Catedralicio, the Brotherhood of the Knights of the Fuensanta and the Brotherhood of the Blessed Animas of Patiño, introduced some changes to give more splendor to this Round of Farewell, with a huertano parade and the participation of the huertanas rocks.

This year will participate 12 huertanas peñas that will leave at 21.30 hours, from Plaza Romea and continue through Plaza Santa Domingo, Trapería, finishing in Plaza de la Cruz, filling these streets with music, dancing and lots of colorful.

From the 22 hours, Patiño Cuadrilla, Tuna Spain and Peñas Huertanas who have participated in the parade, will go through the Altar Mayor of the Cathedral to sing to the Virgin of the Fuensanta that on Tuesday September 12 will return to his Sanctuary.
