The society, culture and environment have been altered by the massification of the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), as reflected in the conclusions of the doctoral thesis by Meritxell Pérez Lag in the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Murcia (UMU).
The research, which was led by Professor Gerardo Diego Robles Reinaldo, also points out that, in turn, the incursion of social networks has favored a major change in behavior in social, business, educational, communicative and artistic aspects.
Within the latter, it is indicated that a specific variant has emerged in these spaces, Social Media Art. For all those artists, creatives, educators and publicists who use the network and, especially, social platforms, arises the generation of an application that will help and promote their activities within each specific sector.
It also points out this doctoral thesis that the artistic paradigm within the Internet and, especially, of social networks, has provoked the incursion of new artistic profiles far from the traditional artistic disciplines.
This is the case of digital creatives, users - artists, professionals and others - who have a certain creative sensitivity and are perfectly developed within digital environments.
And he adds that this gives rise to the birth of identities that create, share and show their proposals openly, reaching a remarkable visibility within the network.
The research work shows that artistic, creative and communicative disciplines are merged into cyberspace through digital identity, which opens new spaces or environments for intervention and artistic insertion within the network.
Finally, it indicates that a permanently connected user / individual has been generated whose displacements and functions are performed through a virtual identity by a portable device.
In this digital paradigm, new roles appear and the guidelines are modified in order to generate an online identity.
