The heritage and its adequate conservation for the enjoyment is one of the pillars of the cultural identity of the societies that inhabit a territory.
The course of the International University of the Sea-Campus Mare Nostrum "The heritage of the Ricote valley: its conservation and use as a cultural and tourist asset", to be held at the Siyasa Museum in Cieza between 11 and 13 September, has as an objective to promote knowledge of the rich heritage of this valley of the Region of Murcia from that point of view.
To this end, an attempt will be made to analyze the existing conservation strategies, to know the state of the relevant patrimonial assets and to verify the index of attraction of that patrimony for the local population and the visitors of the Valle de Ricote, conferring a fundamental role as conservation agents and a means of citizen participation in museums.
The course is directed by María Mercedes Millán Escriche, University School of Tourism of the University of Murcia and María Dolores Piñera Ayala, University Master in Education and Museums: Heritage, identity, Mediation.
The activity lasts 25 hours and those who register will be entitled to 2.5 credits of free configuration and a CRAU credit.
