The summer schools carried out in the town's CEIP and the four camps organized by the Department of Education, Relation with Universities and Heritage, directed by Rafael Gómez, have ended one more year with successful participation and without any incident among children who have enjoyed new experiences during the summer holidays.
The council offered 500 places for summer camps aimed at schoolchildren of the educational centers of the municipality of Murcia, 100 places more than in 2016, which has made it possible to reinforce the commitment to coexistence among students, equal opportunities, the development of democratic values ​​and healthy living habits, away from sedentary lifestyle.
Some activities that ended on the 31st and which have had a high degree of recognition by the families of children attending, as reflected in a survey in which they have expressed "the satisfaction of their sons and daughters with all the activities carried out, the coexistence with other equals, the excursions made and the attention given by the monitors, guaranteeing the safety of the minors at all times.
The stays have been distributed in five shifts which has served to give better coverage to the families of the municipality having a duration of seven days (six nights) in which the small ones have realized excursions, games, workshops or sport activities in zones perfectly conditioned for the reception of school children.
The destinations of this summer, Nerpio, El Cenajo, Los Alcazares and Sierra Espuña included a hostel area, sports area, swimming pool, dining room, kitchen and workshop room, being located in safe areas with possibility of itineraries, excursions or sports competitions (including sea areas) safely.
