The Councilor for Modernization of Administration, Transparency and Urban Quality has responded to the mayor of Citizens, Mario Gomez, after "his words devoid of meaning or knowledge about the use and status of municipal nurseries."
"The city of Murcia currently has three nurseries, in the Mayayo, the Malecón and Casillas, the latter being the one that has the greatest use of gardening, with production of trees for the parks of the municipality.The other two are used as areas However, nowadays, its use goes further thanks to the agreements of collaboration that from different councils we have signed with associations like ANSE, Parenthesis or Ceom for the realization of Courses and workshops with people with different disabilities or prisoners with social reintegration work, as well as the training of nursery workers.
As for the cost, "what really means a saving for the municipal coffers is the current system of obtaining plants for the parks and gardens of the municipality, thanks to the contract for its acquisition, which a few years ago replaced the production itself" , Recalled the councilman.
But to this is added the project of recovery of the Nurseries of the Malecón and the Mayayo that the City of Murcia has projected.
"If Mario Gómez had spent a few minutes reading the projects we presented in the 2017 Budgets, instead of getting stuck in the blockade of municipal accounts, he could express his opinion with knowledge," explained José Guillén.
There is already a project for the recovery and enhancement of these places.
In particular, for the rehabilitation of the Malecón space, € 100,000 have been budgeted to invest in this year. In addition, European funds have been requested to make these improvements aimed at offering these spaces to associations so that they can develop new activities and obtain profitability for their Finnish.
