The council of Modernization of Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, directed by José Guillén, continues with the work of reviewing and controlling the trees of the different parks and gardens throughout the municipality of Murcia, who are suffering in a special way the extreme temperatures Of this summer linked to the absence of precipitation.
On this occasion, throughout this week, is pruning to climb the large trees of the Garden of Salitre.
Some works that have not yet finished and that will continue during the next days.
To this is added the hydration that is going to be made to the existing trees in the inner island of the artificial lake of said Garden.
To do this, the children's playground will be withdrawn, which will allow the flooding of that area, thus achieving a greater hydration that allows these individuals to overcome the situation of water stress.
"Any element of the park that is affected by the work being done will be remedied as soon as possible," said Councilor José Guillén, who wanted to remember that "the only priority of this City Council is to ensure the safety of The neighbors and tourists that can pass through the zone ".
