The City of Murcia will increase security measures in the events of the next September Fair, with a special plan that will mobilize the total staff of the Local Police, made up of 590 agents, plus firefighters and Civil Protection volunteers , Which will work in collaboration with the State Security Forces and Bodies.
The special device will run from August 31 to September 12, according to the Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, after presiding over the Local Security Board, a meeting attended by representatives of Local Police, Fire, Protection Civil Guard, National Police, Government Delegation, CARM (General Directorate of Emergencies), party entities, staff of the Celebration Service and Councilors Lola Sánchez and Jesus Pacheco.
The mayor confirmed that "the Local Police has carried out a rigorous study of each of the scheduled events and there will be a police presence in each one of them, taking surveillance to the more than 300 events that will welcome different points of the city in the coming days ".
In addition, this year will increase security and prevention in the 45 public events with greater concentration of people, incorporating complementary measures and more human and material means, increasing the level of surveillance and protection.
"In the face of terrorist risk, the security forces recommend the utmost discretion and confidentiality regarding the specific security measures that are established.
