The parish of La Raya celebrates tomorrow night the main event of its patron saint festivities, the Coronation of the Virgin, which the Municipal Board, chaired by the socialist Jose Hernandez, wants to be declared of Regional Tourist Interest.
The event will be attended by the spokeswoman and the councilor of the Municipal Socialist Group, Susana Hernández and Maite Espinosa, respectively.
As it is traditional, for 75 years, the night of August 15, the Incarnation, sculptural group of the artist Roque López, disciple of Francisco Salzillo, and composed by the Virgin and the Angel, is crowned in a singular act through A girl, who this year is Noa Beltran.
This one, dressed as an angel, descends from a tall temple located in the Plaza Mayor de La Raya, in front of the parish church in the middle of fireworks as the bells turn, doves are thrown to the flight and rose petals fall before the attentive of hundreds of People who year after year cram the square.
The spectacular nature of the event, its long and unique celebration are the main reasons why La Raya wants this event to be declared of Regional Tourist Interest.
