The Catholic University has signed agreements with 11 institutions of the port city so that its students can collaborate with the support of its Institute of Volunteering.

In this way, the UCAM has already signed agreements of collaboration with 11 non-profit entities of the municipality so that its students intensify their collaboration as volunteers, under the umbrella of the International Institute of Charity and Volunteering Juan Pablo II.
In fact, during this course, 19 students from the Cartagena campus have continuously collaborated as volunteers in the Caritas Cartagena Association, the Crib House of the Daughters of Charity, Maestros Mundi and the Association of Disabled Persons (ASTUS). Hospital of Saint Lucia.
Until now, most of these volunteers have helped to care for and carry out playful activities with the minors withdrawn from their families in the center that the Daughters of Charity have arranged with the Autonomous Community.
Other students at the UCAM have contributed to the smooth functioning of the Caritas school reinforcement or the accompaniment, educational support and leisure activities of hospitalized children.
To these are added the 60 students of the UCAM in Cartagena who collaborated as volunteers in the procession of Fatima and others who have participated in the organization of sporting events such as the solidarity race or the Route of Strengths.
However, UCAM has also signed agreements with ASIDO Cartagena, the Federation of Associations of Families of Deaf People in the Region, the Abraham Project, the Inclusive Leisure Service and the Residencia de mayores AMMA and Fundamifp to continue to promote volunteering as a contribution To the society that also serves for the personal development of its students, which in some cases also opens the doors of the labor market.
