The head of the regional executive, Fernando López Miras, received today in the Palacio de San Esteban the president of the Royal and Very Illustrious Cabildo Superior de Cofradías de Murcia, Ramón Sánchez-Parra, with whom he held a working meeting around the III International Congress Of Brotherhoods and Fraternities that will take place from November 8 to 12 in the Region.
An event that "will situate the Region of Murcia during those days as the epicenter of Holy Week worldwide and that will contribute to continue promoting the region as tourism of religious destiny, an area that this year is especially interesting to coincide with The Jubilee Year of Caravaca de la Cruz, "said Tourism Minister Javier Celdrán.
The president of the Community was interested in knowing the "extensive" programs of events that will be developed during this congress, which already held in the Region its second edition in 2007, and transferred the support of the regional government to collaborate with the Cabildo de Cofradías in the organization of some of the activities that are carried out, such as workshops, performances by the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia and art exhibitions, among others.
