The opposition, which a month ago approved in an extraordinary session an agreement in the same terms, today has been against, without bothering to propose an alternative solution
The opposition groups except Cambiemos - have incurred a triple contradiction in refusing to sign the proposal elevated to the Plenary to unlock the situation of the Ramón Gaya Museum.
On the one hand, ideological, because they pretend to stand as representatives of social justice and, however, do not support the only legal and feasible solution to solve the problem of workers;
On the other hand, personal contradiction, since it is the first occasion in two years that they have to exercise the responsibility in the executive decision making, since the existing discrepancy can only be raised by the Plenary of the Corporation, as established in the Law of Local Haciendas in its article 217;
And thirdly, the opposition groups are involved in an institutional contradiction, since a few days ago they called for an extraordinary plenary meeting to approve exactly what is being proposed today for the museum staff and which, incomprehensibly, they have not supported.
In view of this situation, the proposal for an agreement to raise discrepancies regarding staff salaries has remained on the table and has not been submitted to the Plenary, pursuant to Article 20 of the Rules of Procedure of the Plenary, due to the report drafted yesterday by the Secretary , In which there are complaints, and lack of support on the part of the Corporation, with the exception of Cambiemos.
The Councilor for Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesús Pacheco, recalled that for more than 25 years, the decisions that affect the museum have been taken unanimously within its Foundation, which include political groups.
The solution that was raised today is the only one possible.
"The opposition criticizes, complains, confuses and protests, but does not provide a single legal solution," added Pacheco.
