The Councilor for Traffic, Safety and Citizen Protection, Lola Sánchez, visited the Infante Fire Department this morning and presented to the media and professionals of the SEIS the two new vehicles that the service incorporates for the improvement of emergency care .
These two vehicles called BRP (Bomba Rural Pesada) are fire engines of the brand SCANIA, model P320 and have been purchased through a system of centralized contracting of goods and services of the General Directorate of State Heritage of the Ministry of Economy and Finance Scania Hispania, As well as cars by the company GIMAEX-Flomeyca.
The price of each of them without VAT is 274,000 € and therefore the total amount of the aforementioned purchase (VAT 21% included) amounts to 663,080 €.
These are vehicles designed for intervention in any environment of accidents (urban or rural), but are specially designed for their performance in orchards, plots and areas with scrub.
Both vehicles are identical, with cab of the double type and capacity to transport 6 members of this Service fully equipped.
In addition they have a self-protection system operable from the cabin that allows the water cooling of the entire perimeter of the cabin and wheels of the vehicle.
The water tank of the tank carrying the vehicle has a capacity of 3500 liters of water, and is made of fiberglass.
It also has a tank of 100 liters of foam with an automatic filling system.
The hydraulic pump is a centrifugal pump made of high quality materials resistant to unpurified water and with a minimum efficiency of 3000 liters per minute at 10 bars of pressure or 400 liters per minute at 40 bars of pressure.
During the visit Councilwoman Lola Sánchez explained that "one of the vehicles will be located in the Infante Park and the other in the Espinardo Park replacing others with similar characteristics more than 20 years old and updating the means with which they count Our professionals ".
As of today, the Fire Extinguishing Service of the city of Murcia has a fleet with 37 operating vehicles, divided into 7 head vehicles, 4 light truck vehicles, 6 high vehicles, 4 nurse pumps, 5 rural pumps, 4 vehicles Salvage Vans Various and 7 urban buses (5 heavy and 2 light).
