The Municipal Socialist Group will defend in the next plenary session a motion in which it calls on the government team, the PP, to develop a crash plan for the cleaning of private lots.
The councilman Enrique Ayuso maintains that "the abandonment of these lots affect our municipality and pose a risk to the health of people and their safety, since it can produce fires, especially in the summer", so "first is urgent and It is necessary that the City Council gives an example of cleanliness and care in its own lots, those of municipal ownership, and then, in addition to launching said campaign, strengthen human, technical and economic resources to avoid such neglect.
In the aforementioned motion also proposes the implementation of an awareness campaign aimed at owners and users of private plots in order to keep them fenced and clean.
Likewise, the mayor, who values the effort made by municipal boards in the identification of poorly managed sites and in the notification to owners, proposes "the signing of agreements for the temporary assignment of private lots so that they can provide various services in Our districts and neighborhoods, so that as long as the cession can be maintained by the City Council itself. "
Ayuso, who also recognizes the work of the public workers involved in maintaining the good condition of the lots, warns that "we have received reports of plots in our municipality that have been abandoned for years, which is not surprising because it is a fact that The records of cleaning requirements, in any of its processing stages, accumulate in the municipal offices, resulting in a huge imbalance between the proposed files and those executed, and there is not enough economic availability to deal with cleaning, Despite that later that money can be recovered by our administration ".
For all these reasons, the council considers it necessary to reorganize the various municipal services to strengthen the services of Urban Discipline, Statistics and notifications with more human and technical resources, thus speeding up the procedures for reporting the poor state of private plots.
It also calls for a collaboration plan with the municipal boards to facilitate the identification, notification and execution of the cleaning of private plots and to disseminate among these the experiences of assignment of use of plots in exchange for maintenance by the City.
Lastly, it also requires the provision of subsidies for the cleaning and fencing of abandoned private lots.
