The Councilor for Development, Roque Ortiz, accompanied this morning the technicians of the multidisciplinary teams interested in the rehabilitation of the Old Prison to know the state of the property directly.
There are twenty-five studies of architects who have registered in the contest of pre-projects with jury intervention for the rehabilitation and use of the building of the old provincial prison, convened by the City Council, at the request of the Department of Development.
The specialists, accompanied by the architect of the municipal Heritage service, and also with the presence of PSOE councilor Enrique Ayuso, have visited the building to check the state in which they are and take pictures to assist them in the drafting of their preliminary projects .
In addition, the Department of Development has also been provided with an audiotape recorded with a dron to have information on the construction from the air.
The teams have to present their proposals in which they must include solutions of integral rehabilitation, options of possible uses to be implemented in the different spaces, urban integration, accesses, permeability, treatment of adjacent gardens, etc.
