The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesús Pacheco, and the Councilor for Youth and Development Cooperation, Rebeca Pérez, will discover this afternoon the plaques dedicated to 20 famous Murcia artists who were born, lived or Developed their work in the neighborhood of Santa Eulalia.
The event is expected to attend neighbors and relatives of the artists.
It is a total of 11 commemorative plaques illustrated with the portraits of these 20 masters of 20th century painting and sculpture.
The badges also inform about their connection with the buildings of the neighborhood - in those who lived or had their artistic studies - and the period in which they developed their work.
The painters are Mariano Ballester, Francisco Cánovas, Luis Garay, Pedro Flores, Ramón Gaya, José Antonio Molina Sánchez, José María Falgas, José María Párraga.
The sculptors include Juan González Moreno, Antonio Campillo, Pepe and Paco Toledo, Antonio Garrigós, Hernández Cano, Elisa Séiquer, Pedro Pardo
The portraits that illustrate the plates have been elaborated by the Murcia painter Nicolas de Maya.

The initiative is part of the project of integral intervention in neighborhoods 'Murcia Urban DNA', which seeks to enhance the distinctive features and idiosyncrasy of each neighborhood.
