The Department of Employment, Tourism and Culture, led by Jesús Pacheco, has organized the cycle 'Murcia, open air', with more than a dozen activities to enjoy the summer nights.
During the second half of July and the month of August there will be projections of classic cinema and performances of jazz, theater, flamenco, zarzuela and cabaret.
The program will begin next July 13 with 'Los jueves del Fofó', which will offer, at 10 pm and in the auditorium of the park, the theatrical show 'Classic a la fresco', by the company La Grenouille (13th of July). July and August 3) and the cabaret 'Bon appetit' of the company Zoo Cabaret (20 and 27 July and 10 August).
Tickets for both activities can be purchased at the Pura Alma store (Calle Sociedad), at the Tapeo Murciano restaurant (in front of Fofó's auditorium and at www.entradasatualcance.com for ten euros with a drink included.
The rest of activities are all free.
This way, the Murcianos will be able to enjoy classic cinema with the projections of 'The machinist of the general' (2 of August, to the 21.30 hours in the auditorium of Fofó);
'A day in New York' (9 August at 21.30 in the garden of the Fuensanta of the street Sauce of the neighborhood of the Infant);
'Singing in the Rain' (August 16, at 9:30 p.m., in the St. Basil's pergola) and 'Modern Times' (August 23, at 9.30 p.m., in the Plaza de la Paja).
Also, thanks to the collaboration of the Film Academy, Murcia will be one of the 10 Spanish cities (next to Vitoria, Huesca, Plasencia, Palma de Mallorca, Cadiz, Gijón, Sagunto, Ribadeo and Sabadell) Fenosa of Itinerant Cinema.
This way, on August 2 in the Artillery Barracks, you can enjoy the animation tape Ozzy and a colloquium, after the screening, with its director Nacho la Casa.
The music will also have its space in this program with 'Flamenqueando' by Paquito Sánchez (on July 19, at 10 pm, in the urban orchard of Victorio Street);
'Jazztamos aquí', under the direction of A. Valdegrama (26 of July, at 22 hours, in the Plaza Cristo del Resucitado);
And the anthology of the zarzuela of the Lyric Company of Madrid (24 of August, to the 22 hours in the square of Romea).
The Councilor for Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesús Pacheco, explained that "this cycle seeks to soften the summer nights in the city, offering a more attractive Murcia and visitors and maintaining the cultural offer during these two months."
In addition, Pacheco recalled that a complete program of activities has also been developed for this summer at the Ramón Gaya Museum, the Science and Water Museum, the City Museum and the Molinos del Rio Space, as well as the schools of Summer of cultural centers and the International Festival of Folklore in the Mediterranean
