"How to improve mental and physical health from Psychology and Nutrition" is the course of the International University of the Sea-Campus Mare Nostrum to be held at the Puerto Juan Montiel de Aguilas hotel from 19 to 21 July.
Improving health is the main objective of those who dedicate themselves, or want to do so, to the health field.
From this perspective, this course will cover contents such as health principles, analyze the main factors affecting mental health (stress, insane habits, distorted thoughts), physical (mainly physical inactivity and nutritional aspects), working Strategies and techniques such as healthy behaviors, sleep hygiene, stress management techniques and resources to combat personal pathological styles.
It is intended to offer guidelines and strategies so that health problems, if they occur, are less intense and less durable.
All this in an applied and practical way.
The course is aimed at students and professions in the fields of education, health and health, such as Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Psychology, Medicine, Nursing, Education, Sports Sciences, etc., as well as professional health professionals (Higher and Middle Degree).

The teaching staff consists mainly of psychologists and nutritionists, among them Francisco Santolaya Ochando, President of the General Council of Psychology of Spain and María Begoña Patiño Villena, Responsible for the Program of Promotion of Healthy Eating and Physical Activity of Municipal Health Services Of the City of Murcia.
The course is directed by Raúl Quevedo Blasco, from the Center for Research in Mind, Brain and Behavior, University of Granada, and Wenceslao Peñate Castro, Professor of Clinical Psychology, University of la Laguna, has a duration of 25 hours and those who enroll will be entitled To 2.5 credits of free configuration or 1 Credit CRAU.
