Twenty business projects promoted by young students of different degrees from the University of Murcia (UMU) began their journey in the Yuzz Program in this eighth edition and third of those that have been developed in this educational institution, which has proceeded this Tuesday to the delivery Awards and diplomas.
During the event, which was held in the Hemicycle of the Faculty of Letters, the Vice Chancellor of Transfer, Entrepreneurship and Employment, Professor Francisca Tomás, stressed that in this edition 85 applications were received, starting the program a total of 25 participants .
Professor Tomás emphasized that the same came from different degrees, "which shows that our Yuzz Center is nourished by the generalist spirit of the University of Murcia."
He also pointed out that in front of other centers, where only projects with high maturation or viability are selected, "for us, the training nature of entrepreneurship and the experience of facing the challenge of undertaking minimizing uncertainty during the five months that lasts the program".
The program started on January eleven and culminated on May 31 in its teaching phase, while on June 22 the local jury session was held, where participants presented their projects to representatives of Banco Santander, creator of the Program, the Center International Santander Entrepreneurship, of the UMU and of the Murcia business area.
In terms of training, the vice rector noted that in addition to the 30 hours of national experts offered by the Program, from the Center for Employment Orientation and Information (COIE) of the UMU have planned various complementary actions This year has been counted With a total of 64 hours of training, in various subjects.
It has also affected the Yuzz Murcia Center has selected three finalists who will go to the national phase, in the categories of Young People with Ideas, Yuzz Women Entrepreneurship Award and Innovation Innovation Technology Award, while the UMU, with funds from the Vice-Rectorate, has Awarded cash prizes for a total amount of 6,500 euros.
Professor Tomas thanked Banco Santander for its unconditional support in promoting initiatives such as this one and its close relationship with UMU, thanks to the general direction of Universities and Research of the Autonomous Community, whose holder, Juan Monzó, has participated in the act.
So has the Director of Institutional Banking of the Territorial in Murcia of Banco Santander, Juan Manuel Núñez.
All of them have been very positive about the results of the Program.
The winning projects have been as follows:
In the category of Yuzz Innovation Disruptive Technology, endowed with 1.000 euros, "E-Logistic", of Francisco Coll Morales and David Gil Gallego.
In the category of Yuzz Mujer de Entrepreneurship, with the same economic endowment, "Kronohealth", by María José Martínez Madrid.
In the category Yuzz Center Murcia has been third finalist, endowed with .1,000 euros, the project "Fábula", by Adrián García Andújar and Almudena García Gómez;

Second runner-up, endowed with 1,500 euros.
"Natur-Tene" by Cristian Sánchez Rodríguez, and winner, "Woutrip", by Juan José Gris Soler and Emilio Parra Roldán, who have collected the endowment of 2,000 euros.
