The phraseology surrounds us, that is the conviction of Arianna Alessandro and Elena Macías Otón, professors of the University of Murcia and directors of the course "Cinema, Literature, comics, specialized texts and much more: the phraseology surrounds us", encompassed in the programming Of the International University of the Sea-Campus Mare Nostrum, the summer courses of the UMU.
The course will be held at the Cultural Center of Mazarrón from July 11 to 13.
The phraseology is a proposal of study of the language, relatively recent in our country, that studies the fixed expressions and phrases made, whose meaning can change with respect to its use separately.
According to those responsible for the course, routine formulas that we use, sometimes unconsciously, in our daily life, such as sayings or quotes belong to this area.
The course tries to reveal the fundamental role that this piece of linguistic knowledge plays in the domain of a language, as well as to offer guidelines and resources for its translation into languages such as Spanish, English, French, Italian and German.
The course tries to introduce its students in the knowledge of Phraseology and Paremiology.
To this end, through lectures and practical workshops, the student will discover that a large percentage of what we say and write is based on phraseological units.
To do this, it will combine presentations given by specialists in this area of the language, with practical workshops in which to apply the contents exposed through texts and speeches of literary texts, films, journalistic, tourist, legal or economic texts.
The course is informative, so no previous training in the subject is required, although it may be of special interest for translators, philologists and teachers of foreign languages.
The activity has a duration of 25 hours and those who attend have an option to 1 credit CRAU.
