Volunteer workshops, social inclusion, participation or gender equality will be favored by grants from the Department of Youth and Development Cooperation Last year 65 associations received financial aid for the implementation of activities
The Councilor for Youth and Development Cooperation, Rebeca Pérez, presented this morning the call for grants to promote youth participation with the aim of promoting youth, cultural and social activities of general interest, stimulate the functioning of associations and groups of Youth, as well as support cultural, social, training, leisure and voluntary initiatives that promote the civic and civic participation of young people.
The amount of these grants, which are earmarked exclusively for youth associations, non-profit organizations, federations and entities providing services to youth, will be 60,000 euros.
This will subsidize actions carried out during the period from July 2017 to June 2018 for young people in the municipality of Murcia as:
- Those aimed at promoting participation and youth associations.
- Programs of socio-cultural animation and social education in the non-formal field.
- Those that are developed in districts.
- Leisure activities and free time.
- Those related to youth culture and creativity.
- Training and advice on activities, operation and management of youth associations.
- Promotion of volunteering in the general interest.
- Those that enhance social inclusion and youth integration.
- Those that promote gender equality as a value and prevent gender violence.
- Those that promote the prevention of bullying, cyber-bullying and youth violence.
A total of 78 institutions requested last year subsidy, of which 65 associations received a total of 59,278 euros.
Applications may be submitted to the Youth Service of the City of Murcia and the General Registry of the City, as well as any single window.
