The Parks and Gardens Department, under the Department of Modernization, Urban Quality and Participation, led by José Guillén will begin this month to use a new machine to prevent pests in green areas that has numerous advantages.
"With this new atomizer is reached a greater distance, which completely covers the individuals, and at the same time reduces the amount of liquid that each tree receives, so that the environment is taken care of more when the product is supplied by spraying", Explains the edil of the branch, Jose Guillén.
In this way, it can be used in any type of tree or plant such as tipuanas, jacarandas, ficus or myrtle and eliminates in a more effective way the different pests that can affect the specimens as is the case of the aphid.
This system also minimizes the exposure of operators to phytosanitary products by the operation of the machine itself which optimizes its operation when using a remote control.
These works are developed at night to avoid any inconvenience although the products used are totally harmless.
The City Council continues to work to maintain in perfect condition all the green areas of Murcia, while improving the efficiency and safety of the methods used to achieve this.
