The municipal plenary has approved a joint motion of urgency, promoted by the Councilor of Development, Roque Ortiz, "to express support for the claims presented by the taxi sector in the terms foreseen in the brief presented to the City Council of Murcia in the present day ".
Thus, the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia is urged to "develop the conditions and instruments that allow a correct and concrete regulation on the way to carry out the service of transport of travelers by taxi and that the authorizations of VTC have their normative framework Own adjusted to the legality ".
In the letter, unanimously approved by all the municipal political groups, it is recalled that the protest was carried out "due to the difficult situation that this group of more than 100,000 families suffer at the national level, motivated by the irruption of Platforms for the transport of leased vehicles with oversized drivers, completely removed from the established percentages and without any specific regulation on how to carry out the passenger transport service ".
According to the motion, "we understand that the necessary measures must be agreed upon by the State and Regional Administration for the adoption of whatever actions are appropriate and appropriate to guarantee the labor rights of taxi drivers."
