The rate of return of undergraduate students at the University of Murcia (UMU) for the academic year 2015-2016 shows an improvement in this indicator since the 2009-2010 academic year, as reflected in the annual report of the Commission of Quality of the Cloister , Which was presented today at the session that this university has held in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, on the campus of Espinardo.
This rate is defined as the percentage of credits exceeded by the total number of enrolled in a degree in relation to the number of credits in which they were enrolled.
In the last course analyzed, it stood at 77.5 percent, ranging, according to the branches of knowledge, between 57 percent of Engineering and Architecture and 84.97 percent of Health Sciences.
The clerics have also received the information presented by the Scholarship, Legal and Academic Distinction Commissions.
The Cloister, which has presided over the rector, Jose Orihuela, has approved, on the other hand, the proposal of appointment of three new doctors honoris causa.
These are Antonio Cordoba Barba, Professor of Mathematics at the Autonomous University of Madrid;
Irene Bragantini, professor of archeology at the Italian University of Naples, and Martin B. Leon, director of the Center for Cardiovascular Surgery at Columbia University.
