The Governing Board has approved the closure of the new accessible youth center of Avenida Juan de Borbón that will allow the young Murcia to have more than 5,000 square meters where they expose their artistic creativity and start their business projects.
Thus, the building will offer exhibition halls, recording and developing, rehearsal venues for musical groups, a pavilion for concerts, cafeteria, computer room, and a nursery of young entrepreneurs.
In addition, it will be completely adapted since it will have wide aisles and doors to facilitate the access of people in wheelchairs, automatic doors, pavements of different textures, and the ramps will have a difference of less than 6%, according to figure in the revised project.
Once these work of adaptation are completed, the students of the Workshop School will carry out the works of equipment and completion of the interiors.
In this project of closing the building, social clauses have been included, as 15% of the workforce must be people trained in municipal employment programs.
In this way there will be four youth centers in the municipality, since this will be added to the existing ones in Puente Tocinos (La Nave), El Palmar and Santa María de Gracia (585 m 2 ).
The works, in which will be invested 226,028 euros, will be executed by Construcciones Torreguil within a period of 6 months.
