The contest increases the economic endowment, which rises from 60,000 to 75,000 euros, and will reward the best ideas linked to the Segura River or the Huerta.
Projects, whose start date can not be before January 1, 2016, must be submitted until July 28
The XXV Contest of Business Projects has this year with different news.
In addition to increasing the financial envelope, from 60,000 to 75,000 euros, three new categories have been created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of this contest.
Thus, a prize will be awarded to participants in previous editions of the contest and to business projects linked to the Segura River and the Plan of Action of the Huerta de Murcia.
Each of these categories will have a maximum endowment of 5,000 euros.
The Councilor for Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesús Pacheco, explained that the objective of this contest is "to help and motivate entrepreneurs Murcia in the search for opportunities and business ideas, to favor the creation of businesses and reactivate the economy and the job".
Individuals with habitual residence in Murcia, individually or in groups, and legal persons (small and medium-sized enterprises) whose corporate and fiscal domicile of the business project is the municipality may participate.
The participation of projects of persons or entities that are not resident or domiciled outside the municipality may also be allowed provided the project plans to be developed in it.
The projects, whose start date can not be before January 1, 2016 and may be related to any activity, will have to be submitted, until July 28, at the General Registry of the City of Murcia.
Awards in six categories
The selection of the projects will be carried out through a first phase, which will analyze both the feasibility of the project, the level of development, the difficulty, the place of implementation, the innovative character and the creation of jobs;
And a second phase of personal interview in which the promoter will have to expose the market to which the services are directed, the experience and dedication of the promoter of the project and the innovation and the added value that it contributes, among other contents.
The total amount of the prizes is of 75,000 Euros distributed of the following form:
First Prize: up to a maximum of 20,000 euros and a training grant for 3,600 euros in ENAE Business School, awarded by the University Business Foundation of the Region of Murcia, for the course 2018/2019.
Second Prize: up to a maximum of 15,000 euros and a training grant for an amount of 1,500 euros in ENAE Business School, awarded by Fundación Universidad Empresa of the Region of Murcia, for the course 2018/2019.
Third Prize: up to a maximum of 10,000 euros.
Fourth Prize: Special Category: up to a maximum of 5,000 euros to participants in previous editions of the Contest of Business Projects of the City of Murcia (editions held between 2007 and 2016).
Fifth Prize: Special Category: up to a maximum of 5,000 euros for business projects linked to the Segura River.
Sixth Prize: Special Category: up to a maximum of 5,000 euros to business projects linked to the Plan of Action of the Huerta de Murcia.
