The activities of reading clubs of the academic year 2012/2017 have celebrated their end of course in the Regional Archive of Murcia.
An act that has served as a culmination of the calendar of meetings attended by more than 200 people on a regular basis.
A special occasion that has had the presence of the well-known writer María Dueñas with which those present have been able to discuss their work and the value of writing in our society.

In addition, during all this course the participants of the Reading Clubs have written their reflections, which has resulted in the publication of a book entitled "Reading in the Elderly", and that has been presented during the act.

Conchita Ruiz, Councilor for Social Rights, highlighted the work of more than 20 volunteers who are responsible for preparing and coordinating each appointment.
"It is very important that the reading and the debates that are generated around it are present in our society and constitute an axis on which the clubs that we have spread throughout the city revolve." There are more and more people who are curious about the Literature and find in these meetings a pleasant atmosphere to share their experiences or feelings before each of the works that are analyzed.
In 2017 the Department of Social Rights has extended to 17 clubs distributed by the districts and districts of the municipality of Murcia.
