Among the summer activities organized by the City of Murcia in July, the Department of Employment, Tourism and Culture, led by Jesus Pacheco, has developed an extensive program in the 23 summer schools of cultural centers.
Of these, Sangonera la Seca, Zarandona, San Pío X, Cobatillas, Zeneta and Corvera are organized jointly with the Department of Social Rights, which are added to the two singular projects: the IV Artistic and Scientific Field of Beniaján, Carried out in collaboration with CEPAIM, and the ARTe Al project in the Algezares Auditorium.
In addition, the councils of Education and Heritage and Sports and Health collaborate by giving schools, swimming pools and sports centers and some Municipal Boards and District Boards that collaborate by providing economic resources, especially in the management of buses and excursions.
Among the activities planned by the Culture Service of the City of Murcia, this year's edition has organized 21 Summer Schools with a series of workshops and activities that, in this edition, are centered on urban art, In addition to the two unique projects
Beniaján;
IV Field of Artistic and Scientific Work that will develop workshops of robotics, dubbing, circus and aerobatics and creation of video games and 3D printing.
Algezares: Project ARTe AL that will carry out activities of urban art and Performing Arts in the Auditorium of Algezares.
In total 1,065 places are offered, of which 295 respond to an approach of working together with the Department of Social Rights.
Children born between 2005 and 2010, both inclusive, will be able to enjoy these activities that will be developed from the 3 to the 14 of July, from 10 to 13 hours of a general nature.
Councilor Jesús Pacheco explained that "the activities are aimed at achieving objectives such as enabling alternative leisure activities in children's free time during the summer, fostering attitudes of tolerance and solidarity among children, facilitating Activities, participation, exchange and collaboration among children and favor training in techniques and activities of workshops that can be applied later in summer leisure.
In addition, they will be able to know the urban art and its different manifestations enhancing in the minors the creativity.
The most common contents of the program of these Summer Schools will include activities and workshops related to graffiti, plastic arts, urban dances, rap, urban games, legends, sports ... In addition, excursions will be organized to MUBAM, the Regional Film Library, The municipal swimming pools, Terra Natura ...
The unique projects will be developed in Beniaján, with the IV Artistic and Scientific Work Field that will develop workshops of robotics, dubbing, circus and aerobatics and creation of video games and 3D printing;
And in Algezares, with the project ARTe AL that will realize activities of urban art and scenic arts in the Auditorium of Algezares.
The registration period starts today and will be open until June 19, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, in each center.
The draw for places will be held on June 23 and the lists will be published on June 27.
