The Councilor for Development, Roque Ortiz, and the manager of Aguas de Murcia, José Albaladejo, delivered this morning the prize of the III Literary Contest 'Intelligent Water Stories', which aims to encourage the active participation of young people in sustainable use Of the water and the care of the environment through the literature.
Ortiz explained that "the IV call, which will be convened at the beginning of the school year, will have different news as they will also be able to participate with children from the age of 8."
The prizes have been presented in the auditorium of the CEI, one of the centers of winning students, to recognize the teachers who are the ones who encourage these initiatives.
In the category Bachiller and FP, the first prize has been for the micro-story 'Floración' by Mª Dolores Alarcón Alcaraz, by Antonio de Nebrija.
In the category of Secondary and given the large number of participants in this category, the jury unanimously decided to award three prizes depending on the course, being as follows:
- 1st prize of ESO for "Yo" by Paloma Martínez López, from the CEI
- 2nd prize of ESO for "Intelligent Water Story" by Carlos David Domínguez Cabrera, from the Santa Joaquina de Vedruna school
- Prize for 4º ESO for "The Greater Treasure" of Pablo Martínez López, CEI.
E-books, iPads and lots of books are the gifts that have won the winners in their different categories.
The jury was composed by Alberto Caride, writer and journalist, Marisa López Soria, writer of Children's and Juvenile Literature and Resurrection Garcia, Aguas de Murcia.
Since Aguas de Murcia launched its first edition, more than 150 students from 20 educational centers in the municipality have participated in this competition.
