The Municipal Board of Tocinos Bridge has been waiting for more than a year that the City of Murcia fulfills its obligation to demand the cleaning of lots in a state of abandonment that spread throughout the hamlet.
Last June was registered in the Department of Modernization of Administration, Urban Quality and Participation a letter requesting the cleaning of more than 40 private estates whose owners refuse to perform mandatory cleaning to avoid fires and proliferation of rats and reptiles.
More than half of Puente Tocinos plots belong to credit institutions, which obviate the requirements of the Municipal Board and the Local Police, since they can assume the fines without problem.
The City of Murcia, then, must act.
To date, the consistory has only been interested in two of these lots, and has not sent written to the owners, as is their obligation, urging them to keep their farms in good condition.
In case of noncompliance with this action, the City Council would act ex officio doing the cleaning and later would charge said service, as well as the corresponding sanction.
In spite of having the power to do it, again the team of Ballesta despises the conditions that are lived in the districts.
In particular, in Tocinos Bridge, neighbors have complained strongly about the weeds that cover plots adjoining the houses, some of which have resulted in fires that have endangered the integrity of people and their belongings.
More and more people are complaining that rats and snakes are invading their homes.
Also it is the case of the School Painter Pedro Flores, where in different occasions they have had to remove reptiles of the lavabos and classrooms of Infantile Education.
For the Municipal Board, it is a priority that Councilman Jose Guillen stop making promises and meet once and for all with his obligation to keep clean and to ensure public health, not only the downtown, but also the districts that They pay their taxes in exchange for services that do not exist.
