The University of Murcia (UMU) today announced the International Environment Day, the name of the winners in the Sustainable Idea contest, which seeks to modify individual behaviors in the interest of the collective benefit of the university community.
Antonio Martín Cervantes García and Kateryna Kulinkovych, in the student category;
Isabel Baños González, in the administration and services staff, and María José García de la Serrana Martínez, in the faculty, sign the proposals that have stood out for their originality, technical feasibility and use of the University's resources.
The awards ceremony will be held on June 16 at the University Social Center, where the winners will be able to choose between a reflex camera with photography equipment, an electric bicycle and a weekend for two people in the Sierra de Cazorla.
In addition, the UMU has carried out today various activities to celebrate the Environment Day, such as the delivery of used clothing to the association Project Abraham and stoppers to the Murcia delegation of the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases.
Both actions have been possible thanks to the donation of people committed to the Solidary Bank of Sustainable Campus, the environmental management system of the Vice Chancellor of Economy, Sustainability and Health Sciences.
Likewise, members of the university community will be able to propose specific environmental management activities during June, sending an audio note via whatsapp to the phone number 600 069 409.
The three selected ideas will be included in the agenda of the next course and will be awarded;
The first with a batch of Sustainable Campus products and the next two with a T-shirt.
