The municipal groups of PSOE, Cambiemos Murcia and Now Murcia have demanded today the convocation of an extraordinary meeting of the Patronato Ramón Gaya to solve the problems that are being put from the City Council to the object of hiring the workers of the center, who have been working for five months without charge.
Councilors Begoña García Retegui, Socialist Group, Nacho Tornel, Cambiemos Murcia, and Alicia Morales, Now Murcia, have indicated that the Secretary of the Corporation "is obstructing" the recruitment of staff on the grounds that a sentence is necessary for that end.
This is contrary to what was envisaged by the Board of Trustees, endorsed by the Municipal Legal Services, in order to overcome the situation faced by the Ramón Gaya workers, whose jobs are already included in the Consistory's Employment List (RPT). Has opened a budget line to assume wages.
Therefore, "only the mayor needs to take him to Plenary to lift the objection brought by Intervention," the councilors have maintained, who have warned that "if the workers have to re-report to the court they have been deceived doubly" .
For García Retegui, Tornel and Morales, "it is unacceptable that by now we are like this".
"The City Council was committing a crime classified as an illegal assignment against the rights of the employees, while the secretary and the Legal Services were silent."
And now, "when an agreement is reached by the Board of Trustees and they begin to do things right, the secretary asks for a resolution of a problem generated by them and maintained over time."
According to the councilors of the PSOE, Cambiemos Murcia and Now Murcia, the consequences of the attitude of the secretary of the Corporation may be "to close the Museum or allow workers to continue without charge," which is "intolerable", in the words of García Retegui, Tornel and Morales.
