The family activities have been taking over for a few hours to the actions on the public road that are being carried out in the "agitation phase" of the project.
Rebeca Pérez, who attended the event, emphasizes "the high participation of neighborhood residents, not only in proposing what actions they want to be carried out on public streets, but also in the workshops, conferences and exhibitions that are held."
The project ADN Urbano, which last Thursday began its "agitation phase" that will last a week, has left today for a few hours to family activities, which have deprived the protagonism this afternoon to the hundreds of works, arrangements, Cleanings or plantations that are carried out in the neighborhood of Santa Eulalia these days.
This afternoon, for two and a half hours, and with the presence of the Councilor for Youth and Development Cooperation, Rebeca Pérez, the Plaza del Resucitado has been the center of the civic proposals of the project.
Neighbors in the area or arriving from other parts of the city have enjoyed a different Saturday afternoon.
'Santa Eulalia en Caricatura' has been one of the activities that has aroused more interest.
Thus, the artist Dolores Hernández González has wanted to join the project and collaborate with such an initiative in a special way, which has consisted in making caricatures to the people who have approached, who, in addition, has given her paintings.
Dolores Hernández has studied Sculpture at the School of Fine Arts in Murcia and, among other experiences, participates in the Manga Salons of Cartagena, Murcia and Madrid since 2009.
"The elderly also move"
On the other hand, the centers of women and the elderly have also participated in the event.
The first ones, with a bolillo exhibition by four members, while a dozen people of the center of majors have collaborated doing works in the embroidery shop.
In addition to seeing how they work, attendees have had the opportunity to resolve doubts and learn these traditional trades.
"The elderly also move" has been demonstrated with the participation of 10 members of the center who have implemented a maintenance gym class.
Two more proposals have completed the activities this afternoon.
On the one hand, the mountaineering workshop, which has explained how to make knots to climb, what is the necessary material (carabiners, harness, ropes), how it is used, etc., as well as sharing with the audience stories of different expeditions .
Along with all of the above, about 30 children have enjoyed the afternoon with children's games related to the neighborhood that allow them to have fun while they know their streets and squares better.
Neighborhood implication
Rebeca Pérez has expressed his satisfaction for the implication that the neighbors of Santa Eulalia have demonstrated since "for the City council the citizen participation in the project was an indispensable condition to give sense to this initiative".
"We are very grateful," he added, "for the high collaboration of the neighbors of the neighborhood, not only in proposing what actions they want to be carried out on the streets, but in the workshops, conferences and exhibitions we have held today." "
