A multidisciplinary group of ten UCAM researchers, through the Office of International Projects (OPRI), will participate in the European project Youth Life to combat violence among young couples with entities from six countries
According to a study carried out in 2015 by the Reina Sofía Center on Adolescence and Youth, more than 80% of young Spaniards between the ages of 14 and 19 claim to have witnessed an act of violence between partners of the same age, Spreading content without permission, controlling and even hitting.
Despite efforts to promote equality, according to the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality of Spain, more than 12% of women over the age of 16 have been victims of physical violence by their partner, and beyond Physical abuse, verbal abuse, emotional control and violation of privacy are also considered violence, which not only occurs from men to women, but also on the contrary.
