The Councilor for Urbanism, Environment and Huerta, Antonio Navarro has presented the program with children's activities to commemorate the World Environment Day and promote awareness and citizen participation in the conservation and continuous improvement of Nature.
The motto of this edition, chosen by the United Nations, is 'I am with Nature', message that seeks to promote the protection of the Earth.
In addition, from the Department of Environment, have scheduled a series of activities to be organized around the booth of Santo Domingo.
This information point hosts a varied agenda to commemorate World Environment Day and will be installed until next Monday, from 10 am to 2 pm and in the afternoons from 5.30 pm to 9 pm.
Among the activities organized can be found the workshop "Decorate with nature" to be held this afternoon at 18.00 hours at the information point.
In addition, on Saturday morning at 12.00 hours in Santo Domingo there will be a workshop for the construction of mobile birds and that same afternoon at 18.00 hours the little ones can enjoy a set of clues to know the urban nature.
To complete the weekend, on Sunday a special itinerary for the family will be organized at the Municipal Forest Park of Majal Blanco.
Also on Monday, World Environment Day, will be held awards awards posters and stories for schools, green schools and school gardens in the City of Murcia.
Navarro has stated that: "from the City Council we want to promote the protection of the Environment from an early age so that they acquire the values ​​that are intrinsic in respect to nature and the care of our environment."
