The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, accompanied by the councilman of Urbanism, Environment and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, inaugurated the new point of recharge for electric cars, public and free, which has been enabled in La Glorieta, and received the new car 100% electric for the promotion of sustainable mobility and non-polluting movements that adds to the fleet of municipal vehicles of the City of Murcia.
This new public recharging point in the city center has been provided by the Regional Federation of Entrepreneurs of the Metal of Murcia (Fremm) to the City and, from today, will be available 24 hours a day and completely free, For all users of electric vehicles.
"Murcia currently has 22 different locations for the recharging of electric vehicles, distributed by gas stations, shopping centers and public car parks," explained the mayor, who added that "from the City Council we are going to promote a public network of points of loading and, Next months, we will enable four new semi-rigid 'electrolines' in the urban area of ​​Murcia. "
Today's event is one of the first actions included in the Local Electric Vehicle Strategy 2017-2019, the most important milestone in terms of support to the electric vehicle carried out so far in the City of Murcia, which includes a total of 50 measures.
Ecological vehicle of '0 emissions'
