The report 'Research and Knowledge Transfer in the Spanish Universities 2015', which has just been published by the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE), reveals that researchers from the UCAM are, throughout the Region, the most funds obtained For the development of competitive R & D projects, and the second of all private universities in Spain, following the University of Navarra.
To obtain this data, CRUE lists the amount of funds obtained in competitive projects (both national and international) with the size of the teaching staff and researcher of each institution.
In the case of the UCAM, the ratio indicates an average of € 4,249 obtained in competitive projects by each professor, which places them above € 3,961 for those of the University of Murcia or € 3,679 for the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena.
This report also analyzes other variables, such as funds obtained for research in R & D contracts and consulting universities with companies.
In this case, UCAM occupies the second regional position (€ 2,748 per teacher), ahead of the UMU (€ 908), and after the Polytechnic (€ 3,113).
The consequence of these data is the important execution of research projects, which have an impact on the quality of life of our whole society.
