The UCAM Racing Team is already in London to participate in Shell Eco-marathon, the world's most important international test in the design of eco-friendly and energy-efficient cars.
The Sun Rider IV, which competes with the UCAM this year, passed the technical inspection yesterday and is now ready to compete in the environment of the Queen Elisabeth Olimpic Park in the prototype category with electric battery.
In the team of the Catholic University of Murcia students and professors of different degrees participate, forming a multidisciplinary set aimed at achieving the best possible performance of the vehicle, although the initiative to participate on the part of the UCAM starts from the Degree in Systems Engineering Telecommunication, which already have an experience of several years competing in diverse tests of this type.
In the Shell Eco-marathon 2017 universities and engineering schools from all over Europe are looking for the maximum performance of their prototypes with the work done throughout the year.
The objective of the UCAM Racing Team is to improve this year the performance of the previous car that marked a consumption of 214.7 km / kWh in 2016.
