PSOE, Let's change Murcia, Now Murcia and non-attached councilman Luis Bermejo have presented a motion to the plenary this Thursday for the City Council to support the collection of signatures promoted by the Platform of the Region of Murcia in Defense of the Public Pension System, with The goal of stopping the degradation that pensions have suffered in recent years.
The motion, proposed by the Platform, raises the need for pensions to be included as an additional expenditure in the General State Budget and not to eliminate quotas in order to recover funds from the pension fund, as well as Recover the automatic revaluation model in relation to the CPI to ensure the maintenance of purchasing power.
The groups have also demanded that the General Employees of the Social Security System be incorporated into the Household Employees, with all the rights, including the unemployment benefit, and that the situation be reopened prior to August 2011 with regard to System of coverage of contribution gaps during the pension calculation period.
They have also claimed that the minimum wage is above the 1,080 euros, which is the minimum contemplated in the European Social Charter, and have raised other petitions that go beyond pensions, as is the case of the elimination of any Copayment or "privatizing trend", and recognition of the right to basic supplies.
For the formations that sign the motion, it is "essential" that the Consistory facilitates the collection of signatures oriented to the defense of these objectives, and for this they have proposed to hold a Day for the Defense of Public Pensions next month to collect support from The citizenship through informative points in municipal spaces of districts and districts.
