A study by Alexandru Ionut Cirstea, a student of the degree in Psychology of the University of Murcia (UMU), has found that the habitual consumption of cannabis increases the levels of physiological anxiety in the face of unforeseen stressful situations.
The study, which was conducted by UMU Professor Bruno Rodolfo Ribeiro Do Couto, has also corroborated that cannabis also distorts recognition of the level of psychological anxiety perceived by consumers.
The research has been awarded at the National Congress of Psychology Students held recently at the Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche.
