The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has tendered for the expansion of the School of Early Childhood Education and Primary Juan de la Cierva de Casillas, in Murcia, where 690,432 euros will be invested.
The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Adela Martínez-Cachá, explained that "this is a new comprehensive action that will improve the center with the expansion of the area dedicated to Primary Education and the construction of a new building for Early Childhood Education."
Likewise, Martinez-Cachá stressed that "the regional government promotes actions to improve educational infrastructures throughout the year in all municipalities in the Region."
In particular, Juan de la Cierva de Casillas Elementary School currently consists of three differentiated zones: two of which are home to the Kindergarten and Primary classes, and the other is the dining room and gymnasium.
In the Primary building, the expansion will be carried out on the first floor, where six new classrooms and a small group classroom will be built.
On the other hand, for Child Education is projected the construction of a new building on the ground floor, which will have three classrooms, two toilets, storage and outdoor porch.
The deadline for submission of bids by companies is Monday, June 5.
6 million euros for educational centers in Murcia
On the other hand, the minister said that "this year the regional government will allocate a budget of 6.162.785 euros to improvement works in schools and institutes in the municipality of Murcia."
At the moment 18 performances are being carried out.
Among the most outstanding works are the complete refurbishment of the Institutes Alfonso X 'El Sabio', with an investment of 1,500,000 euros, and Miguel de Cervantes, which is allocated 3,700,000 euros, both co-financed with European funds.
In addition, there are other relevant actions such as the recalcitrance of the school Francisco Cobacho de Algezares or the construction of the new school dining room in the school La Paz de El Palmar.
Strategy '+ Infrastructures'
The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports works through the '+ Infrastructure' Strategy in the revision and reform of the educational facilities of the Region to detect the main needs of the centers.
The regional government plans to invest some 20 million euros this year, aiming to "have more comfortable schools and institutes for teacher education and student learning," said Martínez-Cachá.
In particular, new schools such as the Sacred Heart of Librilla and Prince Felipe de Jumilla will be built, and Pascual Pérez Abellán de Pliego will be expanded, among others.
In addition, we will proceed to the complete remodeling of the institutes Sanje de Alcantarilla and the two cited, Murcia, Alfonso X 'El Sabio' and Miguel de Cervantes.
