The team of the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) has highlighted in the first day of the University Championships of Spain that are celebrated in Murcia.
Mireia Belmonte and Melani Costa, with three golds each (two singles and one relay) have led their team with a brilliant performance.
Swimmers from universities across Spain participate in this championship that is held in the Inacua pool.
Mireia Belmonte has achieved the individual golds in her two favorite events: 200 butterfly and 400 styles.
Melani Costa has been imposed in 100 and 400 free.
Both have also been part of the mixed 4x100 relay with Miguel Duran and Yeray Lebon getting another gold.
The rest of the medals have been achieved: Jessica Vall (gold - 200 breaststroke), Miguel Durán (gold - 200 free), Marcos Rodríguez (gold - 800 free), Duane da Rocha 800 free), Juan Durán (bronze - 200 free) and Alan Cabello (bronze - 100 breaststroke).
Tomorrow Thursday will be the second and last day in the Inacua pool.
The session on Thursday morning starts at ten in the morning and the afternoon session starts at four thirty in the afternoon.
