The Councilor for Youth, Rebeca Pérez, presented this morning the new offer of camps, language stays and exchanges for this summer.
A plan for young people in the municipality that reaches 444 places, increasing 15 percent with respect to the activities presented in 2016.
"From Youth we wanted to make an extra effort this summer to get the maximum number of places possible for our young people and that they can enjoy the leisure, to know new places and other people as well as to learn other languages ​​abroad. Thanks to that from this council we assume part of the cost of each one of the trips so that it supposes the least possible disbursement for the families Murcia, "declared Rebeca Perez during the presentation.
Camps
They are intended for young people born between 2002 and 2005 and the registration period runs from 11 to 19 May through the website www.informajoven.org.
This time they offer five different camps, with 50 places each of them and different destinations.
So, this summer, you will be able to choose between 'Multiaventura in the Sierra Norte de Sevilla', where you can do sports in nature and exclusive activities like Panic, Futzorb, Blob Jump or Team.
It is celebrated from the 1st to the 14th of July.
Secondly, the nautical camp with English in Los Narejos offers the possibility of combining the activities that are developed with the practice of English, favoring the creativity and the dynamization of the group with aquatic workshops.
This case is offered on two dates, from 1 to 14 July and 15 to 28 of the same month.
The Cordillera Cantábrica, through the municipality of Villamanín, in Leon, is the third option for young people, who can know the Biosphere Reserve of Alto Bernesga and make excursions around the environment, adapting sports to the natural conditions of the area .
It will start on July 18 and will run until the 31st of that month.
Finally, the youth of the municipality will also have the opportunity to know the Protected Area of ​​Cuatro Calas, in Eagles.
This is a camp where the practice of English will be enhanced, with three sessions per day, in the afternoons a first session through specific workshops, followed by another with sports activities and games carried out entirely in English.
From 2 to 15 July.
The price for these camps is 350 euros per participant including transportation.
In the event that the number of applicants exceeds the places called in each of the established camps, a public raffle will be held in order to establish the order of priority for each camp and the waiting lists for the coverage of the camps. Vacancies that may occur.
Language stays
Rebeca Pérez has also announced the places for this summer of language stays in Ireland, which increases from 100 to 125 this year.
They will be held in the city of Dublin with a total of 20 lessons per week, including material and textbooks, excursions and other leisure and leisure activities.
The accommodation will be made to families living in that city, on a full board basis and include travel, as well as the certificate of having completed the language stay, issued by the educational centers.

The cost of these trips, of 21 days of duration is 1,200 euros, since, again the Department of Youth assumes part of the price of this activity.

If the number of preferential applicants exceeds the seats called in each of the established shifts, a public draw will be held in order to establish the order for each shift and waiting lists in case of vacancies.
Exchanges abroad
The offer presented today from Youth also has 69 places for exchanges abroad, which this year has eleven European cities among its possible destinations.
Italy, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Romania, Cyprus or Slovakia are among the possible destinations for young Murcia.
This year marks 21 editions since the beginning of the Municipal Plan of International Exchanges with which it is sought to give a European dimension to the activities that the City Council offers citizens, in addition to providing the knowledge of the EU countries, favoring the practice Of other languages, the exchange of ideas on topics of common interest or the ways of life and customs of each of the places to be traveled.
The cost of all of them is of 225 euros and the duration oscillates between the 7 and the nine days according to the destination.
This supposes an average reduction in the price of 75 euros with respect to the previous year.
Also in this edition is favored more to those who have not participated in past calls.
The deadline for enrolling in overseas exchanges ends on May 18 at 2:30 p.m. if it takes place at the Youth Service premises, at 12:00 p.m. if you do it through the website www.informajoven.org .
In this case the Selection Committee chaired by the Councilor for Youth will assess the merits of each applicant for the activity requested according to the scales established in each of the exchanges.
Membership in associations, knowledge of languages ​​or participation in the Language Club of the City Council, the Municipal Artistic Creation Contest or the activities, courses and seminars carried out, especially by the session in its different programs, will be taken into account.
