The Municipal Board of Sangonera la Verde, led by the provincial mayor Juan Jimenez of the Popular Group, organized a pilgrimage to the Chapel of the Holy Cross of this hamlet, a procession that has been celebrating for more than 30 years.
The event will begin on Sunday at 9:00 am with departure from the Parish of Sangonera la Verde, from there the Virgin Our Lady of the Angels, patroness of the hamlet, will pilgrimage to the Hermitage of the Holy Cross, in the neighborhood of Palmeral, where it is estimated that it will arrive at 11.00.
After finishing the pilgrimage, in the surroundings of the Ermita will be carried out children's and family activities, will be present the band of Sangonera the Green and you will be able to enjoy a paella for all the neighbors who come to enjoy this popular tradition .
Juan Jiménez stated that "this pilgrimage is part of our cultural heritage and we have the responsibility to protect and promote this feast to last for years to come. All residents of Sangonera la Verde are invited to participate in these days of living together in which we will spend A pleasant day sharing our traditions. "
