Elite pianists measure their talent to coincide with the event 'Pianos en la calle', which will fill the squares of Murcia tomorrow (05/05/2017)

30 top performers from 16 countries in North America, South America, Asia, Europe and Oceania participate this weekend at the 3rd International Clamo Piano Competition Region of Murcia 2017

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, received this morning the pianists participating in the III Clamo International Piano Competition Region of Murcia 2017, which is celebrated coinciding with the artistic event 'Pianos en la Calle', which will fill with music the squares and Streets of Murcia this Saturday.

Pianists from each continent have performed musical pieces in the Plaza del Romea as an aperitif to this International Competition that begins this afternoon and will run until Sunday, which is held in the auditorium of the Conservatory of Music of Murcia with free admission Until completing the capacity.

"This third edition of the contest has tripled the number of participants, with 30 first-rate performers from 16 countries in North America, South America, Asia, Europe and Oceania, who come to Murcia to measure their artistic talent," Explained the mayor.

Also, tomorrow Saturday, at 21:30, all these elite pianists will be distributed in the most emblematic squares of Murcia to offer a recital inside the artistic event 'Pianos on the Street'.

In particular, they will play in Plaza Cardenal Belluga, Plaza Santo Domingo and Molinos del Río, and there will be performances by Murcian concertgoers on the Verónica Wall and Plaza Santa Eulalia.

More scenarios and a children's zone

The second edition of 'Pianos en la calle', held on Saturday, under the organization of the City Council, Klavier and Clamo Music, will turn the historic city center into a gigantic stage for the promotion of musical talent and for the enjoyment of the citizens.

The amateur performers will perform from 11 am to 8.30 pm, while professionals will offer recitals from 9.30 pm.

"In total, we expect more than 200 fans of this instrument to pass through the 9 pianos located in these emblematic spaces of the city, since in this second edition we have also expanded the stages, from four to six places, so The musical chords will reach the whole city, "said José Ballesta.

In this way, there will be grand pianos in the Plaza de Santo Domingo and the Plaza del Cardenal Belluga;

Of half tail in the Terrace of the Windmills of the River and the Wall of Verónicas;

And a grand piano in the Plaza de Santa Eulalia.

As a novelty, in Julián Romea Square will be allocated a children's area with a grand piano and two small pianos, which will also be given workshops to initiate this instrument.
