la Junta de Gobierno de la FEMP ha aprobado hoy el convenio de colaboración sobre salud que supone una aportación superior a 1,1 millón de euros por parte del Ministerio de Sanidad, Servicios Sociales e Igualdad y la FEMP, a los municipios que forman parte de la Red Española de Ciudades Saludables, como es el caso de Murcia.

Este convenio de colaboración para el año 2017 continúa y refuerza las actividades dirigidas a los temas clave incluidos en el proyecto internacional Healthy Cities , que lidera la Organización Mundial de la Salud.

Así, Murcia llevará a cabo nuevas actuaciones de promoción de la salud y prevención de las enfermedades en el ámbito local, abordando temas como el tabaco, el alcohol, la actividad física o la alimentación saludable, entre otras.

Asimismo, se desarrollarán acciones concretas para promover entornos urbanos activos y seguros, y que favorezcan la prevención de lesiones y enfermedades, el envejecimiento activo y saludable y el apoyo integral al bienestar de la infancia.

El convenio también establece la realización de jornadas formativas dirigidas a los responsables técnicos y políticos en el ámbito de la Salud de los 175 municipios que forman la Red Española de Ciudades Saludables, y que abarcan más del 41% de la población del país.

Además de formar parte de la Red Española de Ciudades Saludables, el Ayuntamiento de Murcia se adhirió a la Estrategia de Promoción de la Salud y Prevención en el Sistema Nacional de Salud, que tiene como objetivo el desarrollo de buenas prácticas dirigidas a promocionar la salud, prevenir las enfermedades, las lesiones y la discapacidad, actuando de manera integral durante todo el curso de la vida sobre factores como la actividad física, la alimentación, el tabaco, el alcohol y el bienestar emocional, teniendo en cuenta el entorno en el que vive la población y con una vocación de universalidad de las intervenciones.
