The Councilor for Town Planning, Environment and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, attended this morning the visit of the Visitor Center that occupies the space of the Nature Hall of El Majal Blanco with the school sculptor Gonzalez Moreno de Aljucer.
This initiative is included in the offer of activities of the environmental education program 'Murcia, ecology of a city' of the Department of Urbanism, Environment and Huerta, fulfilling its 21st edition.
Visits to the White Majal have been offered within the program for 14 years.
This course 37 groups of 16 different schools have visited these facilities, one year being one of the most requested activities among which offers the environmental education program, thus reaching about 900 students.
This activity is transmitted to the smallest environmental, cultural, ecological, biological, landscape and historical values ​​that encompasses this Municipal Park which has 1,000 hectares, being the largest in the municipality.
Navarro has stated that "it is a great opportunity to promote respect for the environment from an early age, so that they acquire these values ​​so necessary for society.
In addition, the environment of El Majal Blanco is ideal for this as it has a visitor center in which they learn through explanatory panels how our environment works and brings them closer to the nature of this Municipal Park. "
