The Government Board approves the new contract for the installation of this control system for the bicycle that guarantees the safety of bicycles.
These bicycle stands, where bicycles can be left inside a metal cage, are located in areas close to public transport stops.
The Government Board has approved the supply and installation of an access control system for the eight covered parking areas of the Mobisec project in the municipality of Murcia, which will be in operation this summer.
These metal cages are located in gardens and pedestrian streets close to intermodal passenger transport areas, the area near the university, tram stops, bus stations, etc.
In order to guarantee the proper functioning of this service, an access control system is incorporated that allows the electronic opening and closing of its doors in a safe and reliable way.
In this way, access control is performed allowing only authorized persons to enter through the Municipal Bicycle Office.
With this, the data of the users who access the car park are recorded, being able to follow up and monitor the use that is made, controlling that they are used in an appropriate way and informing if there are any comments about intrusions or infractions to the system.
The councilman of Urbanism, Environment and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, has stated that "with this initiative citizens who move on a bicycle around the city will have the peace of mind that the drivers have a control that guarantees safety in them, without having to Worry about bicycles ".
The contract is awarded to the mercantile Promociones y Construcciones Aragón Barceló SL and will cost 13,431 euros.
