To this end, the Governing Board has today awarded the works, in which the City Council will invest 318,231 euros, and whose estimated duration is six months.
The dependencies will be located in the lane of the Countess.
The students will have 226 study positions distributed in two independent rooms, equipped with air conditioning and Internet connection via wifi.
It is planned that the facilities of Ronda Sur, as well as the other study rooms of the network, will be available 24 hours a day.
To do this, a home automation system will be installed in all buildings, so that permanent access is allowed by electronic key, fingerprint or card, with an integrated circuit of camcorders integrated to ensure the safety of users.
The Department of Education, Relations with Universities and Heritage, directed by Rafael Gómez, is carrying out other actions to expand the network of study rooms.
Thus, the reform of the library of Sangonera La Verde is being implemented, where a new reading room will be opened 24 hours by an independent access, Los Dolores - in works, Torreagüera - next that will come into operation - and Alquerías, Where the furnishing of some units in the multipurpose building is pending.
In addition, it is planned to move the library of El Palmar to the old School of New Schools, whose project is in the drafting stage.
These rooms are prepared and equipped so that young people can study in an appropriate environment and allow to continue fulfilling the commitment of the Government Team to consolidate a network of study rooms in the districts and districts equipped with the technical means necessary to provide a better service.
